Brian Matthews
Board Member, River City Internet Group


Brian Matthews is a Board Member of RCIG. He was the first CEO of Primary Network from its founding in 1995 until it was sold to MPower Communications in 2000. Brian is an Executive Vice President of Fanball.com and past owner and director of CDM Fantasy Sports, CDM Properties, a real estate venture. In 1997, he was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the publication's "40" Under "40" business persons. In 1999, Brian and Primary Network received the award as #1 Fastest Growing Technology Company in St. Louis and was named #22 on Deloitte & Touche's Nationwide Fast 500. In 2000, he was recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the St. Louis Business Journal and "100 Business People Leading Us Into the New Millennium" by Deloitte & Touche. Brian has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.


John Brison
Board Member, River City Internet Group


John Brison is a member of the Board of Directors for River City Internet Group. He is one of the founders of Primary Network which began in 1995 and was sold to MPower Communications in 2000. John is the Chief Technology Officer of Fanball.com, and was the Executive Vice President and one of four principal owners of CBC Distribution and Marketing, Inc. (CDM, Inc.) and CDM Fantasy Sports. In 1997, CDM, Inc. was recognized as #2 on the Fast 50 Technology Awards List in St. Louis, and #13 on the Deloitte & Touche LLP Nationwide Fast 500 Technology Companies List. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

 

Steve Szachta
Chief Operating Officer, River City Internet Group


Steve Szachta is Chief Operating Officer of RCIG. Steve has been with RCIG since its inception in 2001. He previously served as a Web Hosting Regional Subject Matter Expert for PSINet. He served as the Director of Web Hosting for Primary Network from 1997 through 1999. Steve was a high school mathematics and computer programming instructor for over 20 years. Steve received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University and attended graduate school at Liberty University.

 

Michael Torrence
Corporate Counsel, River City Internet Group


Michael Torrence is Corporate Counsel of RCIG. Michael has been with RCIG since its inception in 2001. Michael has over 20 years of legal experience in various industries including more than ten years serving as corporate counsel to several St. Louis-based technology companies. Michael also spent five years as general counsel of CDM Fantasy Sports, one of the first companies to offer fantasy sports games on the Internet. Michael has served as legal counsel to several technology start-ups, including Rivercity IntraISP Group, a billing and business management software company which was sold to Clearwire Corporation in 2007 and Primary Network Holdings, an Internet service provider which was sold in 2000 to then publicly-traded Mpower Communications. Michael has spearheaded dozens of asset and stock acquisitions and sales, and has been instrumental in the completion of several mergers and reorganizations of closely-held companies. Michael obtained his J.D. from St. Louis University and is licensed in Missouri, Illinois and Nevada.

 

Robert Bryan
Controller, River City Internet Group


Robert Bryan is the Controller of RCIG. Bob has over 25 years of Accounting and Finance experience. Bob began his career in public accounting in Milwaukee before moving back to St. Louis is the early 1980’s. Bob has been a Controller/CFO for various companies ranging in size from $5M to over $200M. He has a Bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University and earned his MBA from Lindenwood University.

 

Ken Cox
Vice President of Operations, River City Internet Group


Ken brings 10 years of Web Hosting/IT experience to RCIG, and has been with the company since its inception in 2001. Ken was previously with MPower Communications as an E-Commerce and Web Hosting analyst. Ken is the founder and President of Cox, Davis and Simpson LLC, which has a portfolio of Internet real estate operating over 100 websites. Ken also is active with local educational institutions and sits on the Board of Technical advisers for Vatterott Educational Center and Clyde C Miller High School. Ken is an active member of the St. Louis Shriners and the MOCHIPS Child ID Program.
